This bridge is known as “Pontino” (little bridge) and it is where the “Fosso Reale” connects with the “Canale dei Navicelli”. With the term “Pontino” we do not usually intend the bridge itself, but the quarter around it.The canal is lined by boats until it reaches “Dogana d'Acqua”, now the object of a major reconstruction project. The “Pontino” seen from the first bend in the canal, in background the trees of the “Fortezza Nuova”.
