After a few months the skeleton of a future footbridge marks the point where the new canal, now flooded, joins the older one.
The part of the canal toward the sea is still under construction and almost dry.
In this point the new dig will join the existing system of canals, just where the historical Venice quarter's “cantina” (rowing club) was.The boat sheds are being torn down to make room for the canal.
